The product is only One size for protecting solider’s elbows and knees. The design and measurements respond to that allow the user to wear it while running, crawling, in a shooting position and marching, without it moving or causing any injury to the wearer

• Elbow pad

It is made up of the protection and the fastening system. The measurements of the elbow pad is 200mm high, with a width of 135mm.

The protection area made up of semi-rigid outer protection and a pad with cover.

The Semi-rigid outer protection we choiced high quality TPU material that can provide sufficient roughness and flexibility to the element in order to ensure that the user does not suffer any injury in this joint during instruction or fighting operations. It measures approximately 95mm high by 140mm wide.

The pad with cover is used to reduce any possible impacts to the user’s elbow generated by the activities performed by the combatant and it is positioned in between the semi-rigid outer protection and the elbow. The pad is inserted into a cover made from two pieces of fabric (outer and inner) joined together by a flat seam. In order to achieve the ergonomic shape of the protective cover, there are two darts on the outer part and a seam around its entire edge, both on the outer and on the inner side. These seams will aid the user’s elbow bending movements.

For fastening system, It is made up of two elastic tapes, an upper one and a lower one, positioned parallel and horizontally, of 40mm wide and 160mm long. At its end it has the looped side of a piece of velcro or similar fabric measuring 25mm wide by 95mm long, sewn using a reinforced or bar tacked seam that allow the elbow pad to be adjusted.

• Knee pad

Only one size to protect the soldier’s knees, made up of the protection and the fastening system. The closure of the fastening system is positioned on the outer area of each knee. The design and measurements allow it to be worn by the user whilst running, crawling, kneeling on the ground and marching, without it moving or causing injury to the soldier. The knee pad’s measurements is 230mm high by 180 mm wide at the ends.

It is inserted into a cover made from two pieces of fabric (outer and inner) joined together by a flat seam. In order to achieve the ergonomic shape of the protective cover, a horizontal dart is made on each side and on both sides, and they are positioned in the centre of it. This seam is aid the user’s knee bending movements. The pad also incorporate two side grooves, an upper seam and a lower seam that allow the aforementioned ergonomic shape to be acquired.

 The fastening system is made up of two tapes  too, an upper elastic one and a lower one, positioned horizontally on the lower edge of the cover, measuring around 40mm wide by 355mm long. They are folded over onto themselves in order to hold a triangular-shaped plastic buckle to fasten with a rivet positioned on the knee pad, on the opposite side to the tape.

In order to gather up the excess elastic tapes, once the knee pad has been adjusted, each tape has a piece of “velcro” type fabric or similar, hooked side, measuring 25mm high by 30mm long, sewn onto the end of the elastic tape using a vertical seam, which also be used to join it to another piece of “velcro” type fabric or similar, looped side, with the same height and 90mm long.
