The cap is sports type it made up of crown, sweatband, peak, lining, and front with embroidered emblem.

The crown formed by 6 segments joined together, with their seams protected on the inside.

On the back part it has a semi-circular window measuring 80 mm wide by 60 mm high. The window is bound with bias binding that is 18 mm wide and overstitched on the inside with a flat seam. This window is house the adjustment system that is made up of two sets of pieces:

First: sewn on the left hand side, on its inside. It will consist of a piece of velcro measuring 20 mm wide by 110 mm long, “hooked part”, at the centre of a strip of main fabric and of the same size as the closing strip sewn on its central part with a covered seam that is 6 mm wide and along the outer part there will be an embroidered sign that will carry the inscription GUARDIA CIVIL and the symbol of the aforementioned Corps.

Second: sewn on the right hand side. It will be made up of a strip of the same main fabric, measuring 60 mm long by 20 mm wide, joined together by a covered seam, 6 mm wide with a “looped” closing tape, with around 40 mm on top of the semi-circular piece, joined together using a flat seam.

The entire ensemble will adapt perfectly to the user’s head.

All the join seams of the pieces will be hidden and flat, reinforced with bias binding tape measuring 30 mm wide, which doubled over make a seam cover that is 15 mm wide and on the outside it will have a 12 mm wide overstitched seam.

Cap’s sweatband is 30 mm wide, with two parallel lines of overstitching that are 26 mm wide, in breathable fabric and polyester foam forming a chamber for greater breathability. This sweatband is joined to the cap by a line of overstitching along the edge.

Peak is made of double fabric, reinforced with flexible plastic material, sewn and turned right side out. Its width at the widest point will be 70 mm for all sizes and its curve is 260 mm.

The two fabrics and the plastic material is joined together using three parallel lines of overstitching at a distance of around 10 mm.

Front side of cap is reinforced and has a central width around 90mm and there is a emblem of SPAINISH GUARDIA CIVIL.
